Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

About BHRT

We are thrilled to be able to offer Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) at EISSR. BHRT is a life changing option for men and women that can help in a variety of ways, both symptomatically and for general overall health. We often hear from patients that they are tired, not sleeping well, having difficulty concentrating, dragging through their workouts, and struggling with libido. Well BHRT is the answer for all of these things!

BHRT involves personalization of hormone therapy and hormone balance. The process involves a thorough intake that reveals your personal complaints, blood work that tells us where your levels are, and follow up with discussion and individualized dosing of testosterone and possibly estradiol to maximize your hormone levels and your health. BHRT is beneficial not only for perceived symptoms but also for bone, brain, cardiac, breast, and prostate health.

The main hormones we use are in the form of pellets which are natural compounds made from yams that mimic testosterone and estradiol. The benefit of using pellets is the steady state that patients achieve as well as the length of time the pellets are effective. For women, pellets tend to last 3-5 months, and for men they often last 6 months. It is a simple in-office procedure where the pellets are inserted under the skin in the hip/buttock area.

The Results

After having pellets placed, our patients are often thrilled with the results. The women come back and the top four things we hear are:

  • significant improvement in energy
  • better sleep
  • resolution of brain fog
  • great improvements in libido

The men nearly always report:

  • great improvement in energy
  • improved libido
  • better workout tolerance and recovery

The pellets overall help our patients feel younger!

We highly recommend consideration of BHRT for both men and women if they have any complaints of poor energy or sleep, decreased libido or sexual performance, poor motivation, workouts and/or recovery that are stagnating or unsatisfactory or poor concentration (brain fog). It is worth coming in for a consultation and blood work to see if BHRT is right for you!
